Blake is an romantic artist that was not very well known in his day. His visual art and poetry are very famous today. He ofter covers Biblical topics even though he did not agree with the Church of England.

His paintings are very mystical and creative. He really creates his own world.

Blake was also adamant about speaking out against the horrible treatment of slaves in the slave trade. He did this through both paintings and poems.
